Welcome Back!

Welcome old and new debaters! We, your committee, are very excited to see you in the upcoming weeks. We have all been busy this summer making sure the next year will be as debate-full and delightful as possible. Our delightful Treasurer, Claudia Hyde, has succeeded in securing a sponsorship offer from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer international law firm. Our equally delightful training officer, Daniel Bramble and Jamil Mustafa have been busy preparing a training schedule. Dan Berman, Carlo Cabrera, James Lo, Daniel Bramble and Billy Wildi (as well as former LSE’ers Jon Kay and Olga Dimitrescu) travelled to Zagreb to compete in the 2014 European Universities Debating Championships. LSE A (Carlo and Berman) broke 9^th, bringing fame and glory to LSE. Jon Kay also broke as a judge, bringing fame and glory mostly to himself. Wed 8.10 UCL PRES CUP TRIALS

Time TBD, Meet at the Café of 32L: Try out for our first tournament! The UCL President’s Cup is on Saturday, October 11 on the University College London Campus. Although this is recommended for those with debate experience, anyone can try out. Many of the freshers who competed last year had no previous experience with BP debating.
