1. SOAS IV
LSE teams have shown impressive performance at the SOAS IV. We would like to congratulate Carlo Cabrera and Dan Berman
for making it to the semi-finals of SOAS IV! Congratulations also to Abel Lam
and Lipei Tao for breaking to the quarter-finals! Carlo was also the 10th best
speaker on the tab. Well done to all LSE teams and judges who attended SOAS IV
last weekend!
2. Tuesday Elections and Novice Training Session
The Freshers’ and
Postgrad Rep elections was held in conjunction with the novice training
session on Tuesday. Congratulations to our newly elected Freshers Reps, Margaret Leer, Julia Slupska and Daniel Bramble, as well as our Postgrad Rep Olga Dimitrescu. We have no doubt that they will be valuable additions to our committee this year! After the election, our training officers Danny and Abel covered some of the basics of first proposition and argumentation. It was good to see so many of you attending the training session and the social at the pub afterwards!
3. WUDC Chennai Tryouts
Try-outs for WUDC
