News Update: Week 7

Welcome all to week 7 of the Michaelmas term. Here are the updates for this coming week. LSE Schools, 8 Dec 2012

The LSE Schools tournament is taking place on Saturday 8 December 2012. This is our flagship event for high school students and attracts some of the very best young talent from across the country, from institutions such as Eton as well as Debate Mate schools. Last year's tournament, CA-ed by Lewis Iwu, was not only a great success but also a fun and engaging way for young people to learn and gain more experience through a full day's tournament. We encourage all members to get involved by signing up at http://www.lsedebate.org/ Being a part of LSE Schools is a great way to contribute to society, as well as judge lively and exciting debates. We look forward to seeing you all there!

We would also like to thank the LSE Annual Fund for supporting the LSE Schools tournament and allowing us to host even more teams than before!

Novice training is happening this Tuesday at 6:30pm in CLM 1.01. Dashing Danny the training officer will be going through how a summation speech should be done. There will be a practice debate shortly after. Everyone is welcome to attend.
