1.    LSE Schools Tournament

The Debate Society hosted its annual schools tournament on Saturday this week, 7 December. Many thanks to all those who signed up as judges and volunteered throughout the day to help our convening team! The members have shown great team spirit with our new debate hoodies and we look forward to see such enthusiasm again in our future events. Well done Alfred and Jamil for a very well organised and enjoyable tournament for all participants and society members!

2.    Debate Camp for WUDC Preparation

We held a debate camp to prepare our WUDC teams going to Chennai over Christmas holidays. We would like to thank many of our current members and alumni who came down to help by debating against the teams.

3.    End of Term Social

The Debate Society will be holding our massive end of year social on Tuesday, 10 December. We have an evening of great activities lined up with food and drinks. We hope to see you all there!

4.    Committee Announcement

Abel Lam has tendered his resignation as training officer. He is unable to fulfill the obligations required by the position due to other commitments. Danny Keeley will remain in his position as the sole training officer for the time being.
