Week 2 : News Update
Week 2 is upon us!
First and foremost, a big congratulations to all those who participated in the UCL President's Cup! A special mention for LSE C - Jamil Mustafa & Amber Naveed - who made it to the semi finals of the open break, as well as LSE F - Alfred Wong and Ed Szymanski - who made it to the finals of the novice break. We are excited about the great potential of our freshers!
We are running our first novice training tomorrow, Tuesday 16th October, at 6:30pm in CLM 2.02. We will be going through the rules of British Parliamentary Debate.
Finally, the trials for the SOAS IV are taking place this Thursday 18 October. Don't forget to send the committee an email ( lsedebate@gmail.com ) by Wednesday at 7pm if you are interested in participating.
And to finish off this post, a little picture of our show debate from last week- a big thank you to Judith & Jen, Scott & Jon, Anser & John, and Debate Mate for participating. The committee was thrilled with the turnout- and for all those who were unable to make it, the outcome was an opposition win!
